Concrete washout service in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre is the Luzerne County seat. City lots mean pans set close to the street, where keeping washout out of the catch basins matters most.

Wilkes-Barre is a city and the county seat of Luzerne County, home to about 44,523 people (U.S. Census Bureau estimate, July 1, 2025). Job sites here sit along I-81 and Routes 309 and 115.

For contractors and builders on commercial and residential work, CleanSite’s concrete washout system is a responsible alternative to the old worksite washout pit: safe containment on the job and pickup when it’s full.

Building permits go through the City of Wilkes-Barre building permit office.

The right size

Picking the right washout container

Most jobs here are tight, so the 1.5 and 2.5 yard pans usually fit best. They sit on a small footprint and keep washout off the street and out of catch basins, and the 1.5 yard pan slides under a pump hopper.

Local rules

Washout rules and compliance

In Pennsylvania, any job that pours concrete on site needs a washout for the chutes, mixers and hoppers, and the wash water is never allowed to reach surface water. A site that disturbs an acre or more needs NPDES permit coverage before the work starts.

A watertight CleanSite container is the washout. Your trucks rinse into it and it leaves on our truck.
