Delivery, swap and pick-up, explained
| Stop | What happens | When to call |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery | We set an empty container where your trucks can reach it | Before the first pour. Call us and we’ll set it up |
| Swap | We take the full container and leave an empty one in the same spot | When it’s getting full and more pours are coming |
| Pick-up | We take the full container off site for good | After the last pour, or when you’re done with washout |
Getting the container on site
The container goes where the concrete mixers can back up to it without blocking the pour, on firm ground and away from storm drains. For pump work the 1.5 yard pan sits right under the hopper.
The 6 and 9 yard containers arrive on our roll-off truck. On tight or muddy lots, our boom truck can set a pan where a roll-off truck can’t back in. Tell us about access when you book.
Before we come, run through the site access checklist.

When a full container needs to go
A container is ready to go when it can’t take the next day’s washouts. Don’t wait for it to reach the rim.
- Call before big pours, not after. An empty container on a heavy day keeps trucks moving.
- Call before heavy rain if it’s close to full, so rainwater doesn’t push it over.
- Keep trash out so it holds washout, not debris.
Signs and timing are covered in when to swap a washout container.

Concrete washout containment and cleanup, handled
Concrete contractors and builders have enough to manage. CleanSite’s concrete washout services take the containment, pickup and disposal off the list: we drop a watertight washout container, your crews wash chutes and tools into it, and the leftover concrete, slurry and wash water leave the job site with us.
That keeps concrete waste away from storm drains and stormwater runoff, which is the environmental goal behind every washout rule. Disposal is part of the service: see concrete washout disposal.
Pick-up FAQ
How do I schedule a pick-up?
Call 845-781-4-PAN with the jobsite address and where the container is sitting. We’ll pick it up as fast as we can.
Do you leave an empty container when you take a full one?
Yes. That’s a swap: the full one leaves and an empty one takes its place. Tell us when you call that more pours are coming.
How full is too full?
Call when the container can’t take another day of washouts, or before rain if it’s close to the top. Don’t wait for it to overflow.
Can the truck reach a container on a tight site?
Usually. Our boom truck can set and pick up pans in spots a roll-off truck can’t reach. Tell us about tight access when you book so we send the right truck.
