Ulster County

Concrete washout for local job sites

Ulster County sits in the Hudson River Valley, with the Hudson along its eastern edge. Whatever the job, a house foundation or a commercial slab, the washout has to stay contained.

About 183,330 people live in Ulster (U.S. Census Bureau estimate, July 1, 2025), and Kingston is the county seat. You’ll find job sites along the New York State Thruway (I-87), US 209, US 9W and Routes 28, 32 and 52.

How it works

From delivery to pick-up

Step 1

We deliver the container

We set it where your trucks can reach it. The small pans fit tight spots, and the 1.5 yard pan slides under a pump truck hopper.

Step 2

Your trucks wash out

Ready-mix drivers rinse their chutes into the container and pump operators empty the hopper into the pump pan. The washout stays contained and off the ground.

Step 3

We haul it away

When it’s getting full, call us. We pick it up, take it off site and handle the disposal.

Local rules

Washout rules that apply here

New York doesn’t let concrete washout water leave a construction site. The state’s construction stormwater permit, GP-0-25-001, bans it as a discharge, and the state’s erosion standard wants a washout on every job that pours concrete. A sealed pan means there is no pit to dig at all.

More detail: concrete washout requirements in New York.

You’re in NYSDEC Region 3. The county’s soil and water conservation district helps with soil and water questions, but it doesn’t issue permits. DEC and your town handle that.
