Concrete Washout Service for Ready-Mix and Pump Trucks
CleanSite drops a watertight container on your job site, your ready-mix and pump trucks wash out into it, and we haul it away when it’s full. No pit to dig, no slurry on the ground, and no cleanup crew at the end of the job.
- EPA, NPDES and BMP compliant
- Delivery, pick-up and disposal handled
- Containers and pans from 1.5 to 9 cubic yards
What our concrete washout service includes
Concrete washout service is a container or pan that catches the leftover concrete, cement water and slurry from chutes, hoppers and tools, plus the pick-up and disposal after. CleanSite handles every step, so your crew only has to point the trucks at it.
Delivery
We set a container where your trucks can reach it. The small pans sit on a small footprint, and the 1.5 yard pan fits under a pump truck hopper.
Containment
The containers are watertight, so wash water and slurry stay inside and off the soil, the street and the storm drains.
Pick-up and swaps
When a container fills, call and we pick it up. On longer jobs we swap the full one for an empty one, so the next pour starts clean.
Disposal
The full container leaves on our truck and we handle the disposal. Nothing gets dumped on your site.
From delivery to pick-up

We deliver the container
We set it where your trucks can reach it. The small pans fit tight spots, and the 1.5 yard pan slides under a pump truck hopper.

Your trucks wash out
Ready-mix drivers rinse their chutes into the container and pump operators empty the hopper into the pump pan. The washout stays contained and off the ground.

We haul it away
When it’s getting full, call us. We pick it up, take it off site and handle the disposal.
Four sizes for any pour
The big containers suit sites with steady truck traffic. The small pans suit a single pour or a tight lot. Need one moved once it’s on site? Call us and we’ll move it.

Built for the trucks that pour your concrete
Ready-mix trucks
Drivers rinse the chute into the container before they leave, so the washout never touches the ground.
Pump trucks
The 1.5 yard pan is compact enough to sit under a pump truck hopper to catch the clean-out at the end of the pour.
General contractors
One designated washout area, serviced from the first pour to the last, and one less thing for the super to manage.
Why a washout container beats a dug pit
A dug washout pit takes labor and material to build, and that’s before anyone uses it. It can leak, it takes up space, and it has to be dug out, backfilled and regraded at the end of the job. A container catches the same washout, and it leaves on a truck.
| Dug washout pit | CleanSite washout container | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Excavator time, liner and labor to build | Delivered and set in place |
| Leaks | Liners tear and pits can leak into the soil | Watertight, less spillage |
| Space | Needs open ground near the pour | Small footprint; the 1.5 yard pan fits under a pump hopper |
| Moving it | Can’t move once it’s dug | Call us and we move it |
| End of job | Dig out, export, backfill and regrade | We pick it up |
| The washout | Hardened concrete left for your crew | Hauled away |

Why washout has to be contained
Concrete washout water is caustic and corrosive, with a pH near 12. Liquid drain cleaner is 13.5, and fish and plants in a stream need 6.5 to 9, according to the EPA’s concrete washout fact sheet. That’s why construction stormwater permits want it held in a leak-proof container or a lined pit and kept out of soil, storm drains and waterways.
Plain-English summaries: New York washout requirements and New Jersey washout requirements.
Washout pits are prone to leaks and can put a whole project at risk of violating local and federal environmental rules. A sealed container keeps the washout where it belongs.
Where the savings come from
- No pit to build or tear out. Skip the labor and material for a new pit, and the export, backfill and regrading at the end.
- Fewer overtime charges. Ready-mix and pump trucks stop burning time looking for a place to dump.
- No cleanup crew. You don’t need an excavator or extra hands to scrape concrete off the site.
- Lower risk of fines. Washout stays contained, which cuts your exposure to DEC and SWPPP violations.

Concrete washout service FAQ
Which size container do I need?
Tell us the yardage and how many trucks will wash out, and we’ll size it with you. Busy sites go with a 6 or 9 cubic yard container.
Will a pan fit under a pump truck hopper?
Yes. The 1.5 yard pan is made to sit under a pump truck hopper, and its small footprint fits tight job sites.
How fast can you pick up a full container?
Call 845-781-4-PAN when it’s getting full and tell us where it’s sitting. We’ll pick it up as fast as we can.
Is concrete washout harmful?
Yes. The EPA says concrete washout water is caustic and corrosive, with a pH near 12, close to liquid drain cleaner. That’s why permits require it to be contained and kept out of soil, storm drains and waterways.
Can the container be moved once it’s on site?
Yes. Call us and we’ll move it. No hassle.
